An Exciting New Chapter!
It has been a very busy and inspiring summer, and I am moving into autumn with a brand new project and such an exciting announcement to make!
After 4 amazing years with Whole Foods Market, and seeing its healthy eating program grow from its infancy, it was time to move on to the next chapter in my career. In following my passion and continuation to support my goals of plant-centered culinary education, I found the perfect match by joining the team at the world’s leading online culinary school, Rouxbe.
When I first discovered Rouxbe, I was thoroughly impressed with their already existing plant-based curriculum, and knew that is was a perfect way for me to further my goal of educating as many people as possible about the power of getting back in their kitchens.
One of the most successful aspects of working so closely with the healthy eating program at Whole Foods Market was showing the audience when I taught culinary how simple it truly is to bring it back to the basics in the kitchen. No matter what dietary focus one follows when jumping into a heather diet, teaching people the simple tools of culinary education is what truly inspires so many people to take control of their health. Make it tasty, simple, affordable and inspiring, and the deeper dive for folks into their personal health journey will follow.
Partnering with another game-changing company has gotten me so jazzed up about the next steps in what we are able to offer in the coming months!
Rouxbe (pronounced ROO-bee) Online Cooking School offers online instructor-led, health-focused and culinary cooking courses for home cooks to professional chefs. My initial focus will be to help Rouxbe develop a strategy into the health and wellness sector, along with developing and launching an online certification program in plant-based cooking. This comprehensive course will be aimed at food and health professionals, educators, and committed home cooks who want deeper knowledge and skills development.
In addition, I will help Rouxbe further connect with the corporate wellness community to help companies and employers develop programs to reduce healthcare costs. What is the most powerful and potent way to address the health crisis? By getting people to cook, to eat whole foods and to eat healthful foods!
With Rouxbe’s platform, we can do it on a very large scale!
